2015 Komen Eugene Race for the Cure

Team16

"As some of you know, one of my best friends since childhood is battling breast cancer. Her name is KD, she’s 30 years old and is a fire cracker.  Her story is unique to her yet all too common at the same time. Cancer seems to touch the lives of so many of our loved ones, breast cancer, specifically affecting so many of the women we love so dearly.  This October 4th, I am getting a team together and asking you to join my team and walk the Race for the Cure 5K for KD, or anyone in your life that has been touched by breast cancer. Who are you walking for?  Join us at Team 16.

Thank you for reading! I'm looking forward to a day filled with pink and unity against breast cancer."

-Stephanie Domurat, Evening Anchor, KMTR, NBC 16.

This race is personal. Too many of us have experienced breast cancer firsthand or through someone close to us. We support family members, friends and colleagues on their journey battling this terrible disease. Race for the Cure is more than just another run or walk. It is a renewed commitment to do all we can to end this disease, a celebration of survivorship and a time to honor those we have lost along the way.

Your fundraising dollars drive our work across Oregon & SW Washington.  Our region continues to have the highest incidences of breast cancer in the country with 70 women diagnosed each and every week in Oregon. 10 will die.

Please support my participation in the Eugene Race for the Cure with a donation, and join us in the global movement to end breast cancer forever. There is only one way we can accomplish this: Together.
