Dear family and friends,
This year I have decided to step back. Having been intimately involved in RACE over the past five years, between the wedding and my back, I needed to take a break. The organization and its mission remain near and dear to my heart. You usually get 4 or 5 emails from me urging, begging, pleading etc. you to support me. This year you will only receive this one. So, consider yourself urged, begged and pleaded to join me in achieving the ultimate goal of aiding in early detection, aiding in treatement for those who have no insurance or are under insured and having no person ever again having to hear those terrifying words: "you have breast cancer".
This race is personal. Too many of us have experienced breast cancer firsthand or through someone close to us. We support family members, friends and colleagues on their journey battling this terrible disease. Race for the Cure is more than just another run or walk. It is a renewed commitment to do all we can to end this disease, a celebration of survivorship and a time to honor those we have lost along the way.
Your fundraising dollars drive our work across Oregon & SW Washington. Our region continues to have the highest incidences of breast cancer in the country with 70 women diagnosed each and every week in Oregon. 10 will die.
Please support my participation in the Eugene Race for the Cure with a donation, and join us in the global movement to end breast cancer forever. There is only one way we can accomplish this: Together.
warm regards,
Judy
