ADVOCACY
The Susan G. Komen last month said that all women should have access to regular mammograms when they and their health care providers decide that it is the right time for screening based on individual risk for breast cancer, and that the screening tests should be covered by third-party payers such as insurance companies and government programs. Last month dozens of churches took part in the month long Worship in Pink. Ambassadors served as breast health messengers to plan and implement Worship in Pink activities for their respective congregations with the purpose of activities to promote the message that early detection saves lives. Breast Cancer Issues Conference
The 2016 Regional Breast Cancer Issues Conference is March 5, 2016. The conference provides survivors, support persons, and health care professionals the opportunity to learn and discuss breast cancer topics with leading researchers, doctors, and more. Featuring keynote Annie Parker, three time cancer survivor, author of the book and inspiration of the film Decoding Annie Parker. Learn more>>

The Lunch for the Cure brings together business and community leaders who recognize the importance of investing in saving lives and ending breast cancer. Northwest International Harvester Collectors Chapter 30, donated $1,466.00 in memory of Sharon Leitz who passed away last year. This money was collected through the sales of raffle tickets for two child size International Harvester Pedal Tractors at each of their Chapters sanctioned tractor show this past year.
